Quality Inspection and Acceptance
The supplier's technical quality supervision department is responsible for the quality inspection and acceptance of carbon seamless steel pipes.
Compliance with Standards
The supplier must ensure that the steel pipes delivered meet the specifications of the relevant product standards. The purchaser has the right to inspect and verify the products according to these standards.
Bulk Acceptance
Carbon seamless steel pipes should be submitted for bulk acceptance, with approval rules consistent with the corresponding product standards.
Inspection Items and Methods
Inspection items, sample sizes, sampling locations, and test methods must align with the relevant product standards. With the purchaser's consent, hot-rolled seamless steel tubes can be sampled by rolling the root array.
Handling Non-compliant Test Results
If a test result does not meet product standards, the non-compliant pipes should be separated. Additional samples, double the initial number, should be taken from the same batch for re-testing of the failed items.
If the re-inspection results (including any one of the test requirements) are still unqualified, the pipes cannot be delivered.
Certain test items, if failed in the initial inspection, do not permit re-inspection:
A. White spots in low magnification tissue.
B. Microstructure.
Procedure for Unqualified Results
If the re-inspection results are unqualified (including initial test failures in microstructure), the supplier can either submit the pipes for acceptance by the root or re-heat treat the pipes. Re-heat treatment is limited to a maximum of two times before the latest batch acceptance.
Chemical Composition Acceptance
If not specified in the product standards, the acceptance of the chemical composition of the steel pipes should be based on the smelting components.
These rules ensure that carbon seamless steel pipes are thoroughly inspected and tested, guaranteeing they meet the required quality standards before delivery.
