The delivery conditions of seamless steel pipes refer to the state of the product after its final plastic deformation or heat treatment. Seamless steel tubes can be delivered in several states, depending on the manufacturing and processing methods employed.

Manufacturing State:

Hot-Rolled or Cold Drawn (Rolled) State: Seamless steel tubes are often delivered in their hot-rolled or cold drawn (rolled) state without any further heat treatment. This means the tubes retain the properties imparted by their initial manufacturing process.

Heat-Treated State:

Seamless steel tubes can also be delivered after undergoing specific heat treatments. These treatments enhance certain properties of the steel, such as strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance. The common types of heat treatment include:

Normalizing: Heating the steel to a specific temperature and then cooling it in air to refine the grain structure and improve uniformity.

Tempering: Heating the steel to a temperature below its critical point and then cooling it, which increases toughness and reduces brittleness.

Solution Annealing: Heating the steel to a high temperature and then rapidly cooling it to dissolve alloying elements and achieve a homogeneous structure.

Annealing: Heating the steel to a specific temperature and then slowly cooling it to remove internal stresses and improve machinability.

State of Delivery:

Annealed State: Tubes delivered in the annealed state have been subjected to annealing to facilitate easier subsequent processing.

Original State: Tubes may also be delivered in their original manufacturing state without additional heat treatment, which is suitable for certain applications.

When ordering seamless steel tubes, it is crucial to specify the desired delivery state in the contract to ensure that the tubes meet the required specifications for their intended use.

Weight Delivery Status

The weight of seamless steel tubes at the time of delivery can be specified in two ways:

- Actual Weight:

This refers to the weight of the product as determined by weighing at the time of delivery. The actual weight is measured using scales or other weighing devices to provide an accurate weight of the product.

- Theoretical Weight:

The theoretical weight is calculated based on the nominal dimensions and density of the steel. This weight is determined using standard formulas and is typically used for consistency in pricing and ordering. Theoretical weight assumes that the dimensions and density are uniform and precise, even though the actual product may have slight variations.

Specifying the weight delivery status in the contract ensures clarity and agreement between the supplier and the buyer regarding the basis for determining the weight of the delivered product.
