Carbon Seamless Steel Pipe is a circular pipe having a hollow section and no seams around it, generally made of steel ingot or solid tube blank, and then by hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing. You may want to know how to straighten carbon seamless steel pipe, today, we are going to talk about it.

Carbon Seamless Steel Pipe

It is best to use a special straightening machine for carbon seamless steel pipe straightening. It is supported by two points, press the middle point, divide it into N points, and press downward from the highest point of rotation. Note that it is best to form a curved surface at the pressure point of the pipe, otherwise the pipe wall will easily deform and become a waste product.

If there is no special straightening machine, you can fill the pipe with sand, block both ends, flatten the arcs at both ends upwards, take a piece of iron wire, buckle a small weight on both ends, and hang it next to the pipe as a reference. And hang the center of the pipe. For the proper weight, adjust the weight so that the tube bends slightly downward, after an hour.

There is also a correction for larger diameter carbon seamless steel pipes, which is to use a flame gun to heat the area around the highest point of curvature and bake it red, and then pour cold water into it to cool it. Under the action of cooling shrinkage stress, the length of the steel in the heating and cooling areas will be slightly shorter than the original length. Pay attention to controlling the heating area and cooling rate to obtain different correction values. The larger the heating area, the faster the cooling and the larger the correction deformation, and vice versa.
