The steel is first leveled using a flat anvil machine to remove any original curl or deformation. The edges are then processed through a milling machine to perform two-sided edge milling. This step ensures the steel meets required specifications for plate width, edge parallelism, and groove shape.

 

Shearing and Forming:

The steel plate is cut along the edges and formed into a tube by spiraling along the production line. This spiral curling process creates the basic pipe shape.

 

Butt Welding and Cutting:

SSAW pipes are welded using advanced double-sided submerged arc welding technology. This includes pre-welding, internal welding, and external welding to ensure a strong, continuous weld seam. Once the pipe is fully welded, it is cut to the required length using plasma cutting technology, ensuring precision and conformity to the specification.

 

Additional Considerations for Production:

- Raw Material Testing:

Each batch of steel undergoes thorough sampling and testing to confirm compliance with chemical and physical property standards before entering production. This ensures that only high-quality materials are used.

 

- Destructive and Non-destructive Testing:

Destructive testing, such as tensile and impact tests, may be required for some orders to confirm the mechanical properties of the steel. Non-destructive testing methods, including visual inspections and ultrasonic tests, are also performed to detect any potential defects in the materials or welds.

 

- Strict Compliance with Standards:

All processes are carried out in strict accordance with API standards, or other relevant standards, ensuring the SSAW pipes meet the specific requirements for various industries such as oil, gas, and construction.
