Minimum Wall Thickness on Inspection:
The following equation on which this table is based can be used to calculate the minimum wall thickness based on the nominal wall thickness:
tn * 0.875 = tm
Where:
tn = nominal wall thickness, in. [mm], and tm= minimum wall thicknesses, in. [mm]
Wall thickness is given in inch-pounds, rounded to three decimal places in accordance with the rounding method of Practice E29. Wall thicknesses expressed in SI units are rounded to one decimal place in accordance with the rounding method of Practice E29.
This table is a master table covering the wall thicknesses available when purchasing different classes of pipe, but it does not mean that all wall thicknesses listed here must be obtained for the applicable product specification.
