Seamless steel pipes serve as essential materials for producing ring-shaped metal components, simplifying production by eliminating numerous intricate processes. This efficiency significantly reduces the wear on stainless steel plates and cuts production costs. The concept is easy to grasp; it's akin to slicing kale with a knife to create ring-shaped parts quickly, minimizing wear and tear.

Despite their utility, annular seamless steel pipes have limitations, notably their poor bending strength, which makes them unsuitable for high-stress applications. To address this, these pipes are often forged into square or rectangular shapes for use in agricultural machinery, frames, and furniture, thereby enhancing their tensile strength.

Seamless steel pipes generally refer to those with diameters of 402 mm or more, including both thick-walled and standard varieties. The production of large-diameter seamless steel pipes typically involves hot rolling. While hot-expanded seamless steel pipes offer a cost advantage over the original large-diameter hot-rolled pipes, their production cycle is longer. As a result, manufacturers have reduced the output of traditional hot-rolled seamless pipes. However, it's worth noting that the quality of hot-expanded seamless steel pipes is not on par with the original hot-rolled versions.

After hot rolling or forging, seamless steel pipes made from stainless steel do not undergo specialized heat treatment and are delivered immediately after cooling. This process, known as hot rolling or hot forging, typically concludes at temperatures between 800°C and 900°C, followed by air cooling. This method is somewhat similar to quenching. Conversely, seamless steel pipes made from stainless steel plates are quenched and heat-treated before being shipped, a process referred to as quenching delivery.
