Q235 Steel (Q235A Q235B Q235C Q235D)
Q235 steel is a common carbon structural steel widely used in my country. The Q235 material in Chinese standard GB/T 700 is divided into 4 quality grades: Q235A, Q235B, Q235C and Q235D; the density of the steel is 7.85 g/cm3, and the tensile strength is 370-500 MPa; Yield strength is 235MPa (data is for steel bars or steel plates with a diameter less than or equal to 16mm). Since it is mild steel, it can be used directly without heat treatment.
Meaning And Name
"Q" is the first letter of the Chinese Pinyin of "Qifu point", which means yield point.
"235" refers to the minimum yield strength of 235MPa tested when the steel diameter is less than or equal to 16mm.
Features And Applications
Q235 steel has good plasticity, toughness and welding ability, as well as a certain strength and good cold bending properties. Q235 material is usually rolled into wire rod or round steel, square steel, flat steel, angle steel, I-beam, channel steel, other profiles and steel plates. These products are widely used in construction and engineering welded structures for making steel bars or building factories, high-voltage transmission towers, bridges, vehicles, boilers, containers, etc. They can also be used as mechanical parts with low performance requirements, such as rods with low stress. , connecting rods, screws, nuts, ferrules, brackets and brackets, etc.
