Introduction of Boiler Tube

Date:2023-06-02View:188Tags:Boiler Tube,Introduction of Boiler Tube, boiler pipe size chart

Boiler tube is a kind of seamless steel tube. Boiler tube refers to a steel material with openings at both ends and a hollow section. The ratio of its length to the surrounding area is large. Dimensions (such as outer diameter or side length) and wall thickness indicate that there is a wide range of sizes, from small diameter capillaries to large diameter tubes with diameters of several meters. Steel pipes can be used in pipelines, thermal equipment, machinery industry, petroleum geological exploration, containers, chemical industry and special purposes.

CLASSIFICATION

Steel pipes are divided into two categories: seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes (seamed pipes). According to the cross-sectional shape, it can be divided into round tubes and special-shaped tubes. Round steel tubes are widely used, but there are also some square, rectangular, semicircular, hexagonal, equilateral triangle, octagonal and other special-shaped steel tubes. For steel pipes under fluid pressure, a hydraulic test is required to check their pressure resistance and quality. It is qualified if no leakage, soaking or expansion occurs under the specified pressure. Some steel pipes also need to be crimped according to standards or requirements of the buyer , Flaring test, flattening test, etc.

PRODUCTION METHOD

Boiler tubes are a type of seamless tubes. The manufacturing method is the same as that of the seamless pipe, but there are strict requirements on the steel type used in the manufacture of the steel pipe. According to the use temperature, it is divided into two types: general boiler tube and high pressure boiler tube.
The mechanical properties of boiler tubes are an important indicator to ensure the end-use performance (mechanical properties) of steel, which depends on the chemical composition and heat treatment system of steel. In steel pipe standards, tensile properties (tensile strength, yield strength or yield point, elongation), hardness, toughness, and high and low temperature properties required by users are specified according to different use requirements.
① Generally, the operating temperature of boiler tubes is below 350°C, and domestic tubes are mainly made of No. 10 and No. 20 carbon-structured steel hot-rolled tubes or cold-drawn tubes.

②High-pressure boiler tubes are often under high temperature and high pressure conditions during use, and the tubes will be oxidized and corroded under the action of high-temperature flue gas and water vapor. Steel pipes are required to have high durable strength, high resistance to oxidation and corrosion, and good structural stability.

APPLICATION

①General boiler tubes are mainly used to manufacture water wall tubes, boiling water tubes, superheated steam tubes, superheated steam tubes for locomotive boilers, large and small smoke tubes and arch brick tubes, etc.
②High-pressure boiler tubes are mainly used to manufacture superheater tubes, reheater tubes, gas guide tubes, main steam tubes, etc. of high-pressure and ultra-high pressure boilers. The supply and demand trend of the high-pressure boiler tube industry is generally stable, but the supply and demand situation of each specific sub-sector will be further differentiated. Industry insiders pointed out that the most critical link is the use and promotion of new energy-saving heat preservation 20g high-pressure boiler tube equipment.
New energy-saving 20g high-pressure boiler tube products are gradually increasing in the market, such as green environmental protection coatings, energy-saving and water-saving sanitary products, environmental protection stone, environmental protection external cement foam insulation board, etc. Energy-saving and environmental protection products have a broad market in the 20g high-pressure boiler tube industry The mid-term outlook is promising.

high pressure boiler tube

Boiler tubes are divided into two categories:

GB/T3087-2018 medium and low pressure boiler tubes,
GB/T5310-2018 High Pressure Boiler Tubes,
Boiler tube weight formula: [(outer diameter-wall thickness)*wall thickness]*0.02466=kg/m (weight per meter).

STEEL GRADE

(1) The steel grades of high-quality carbon structural steel are 20G, 20MnG, and 25MnG.
(2) Alloy structural steel Steel grades 15MoG, 20MoG, 12CrMoG, 15CrMoG, 12Cr2MoG, 12CrMoVG, 12Cr3MoVSiTiB, etc.
(3) The commonly used 1Cr18Ni9 and 1Cr18Ni11Nb boiler tubes of rusty and heat-resistant steel should not only ensure the chemical composition and mechanical properties, but also need to do hydraulic test one by one, and do flaring and flattening tests. Steel pipes are delivered in a heat-treated state.
In addition, there are certain requirements for the microstructure, grain size and decarburization layer of the finished steel pipe.
